Brooks Woodworks Newsletter December 2007 ________________________________________________________________________________
December, the time of giving. But did you ever notice that the gift of time seems to elude us during this month? Afterall, December is one of the longest months with 31 days. Yet, it seems to be one of the shortest with the way time flies by. What with the many parties, the shopping, and the celebrating, it is a wonder we have time left for anything else! And before you know it, it is already a new year!
However, things must go on. Work in the shop must continue, and it did in December. I completed work on the TV stand I mentioned last month. While the work was straightforward enough, I had enough set backs to delay completion untill just before Christmas. Thankfully, the TV stand was completed and the customer really enjoyed the results.
As I look forward, I expect 2008 will be a good year for completing projects. I will be adding a few more tools to the shop, and trying some more challenging projects as well. I am looking forward to the journey as much as the stops along the way. Now if I can only find my tape measure and square....
For each of you, I hope the new year will bring you all the success, joy, and happiness you dream for.
As a reminder, I still have about 25 of my 2008 calendars left. If you are interested in a free calendar, please send me your name and mailing address. This offer is limited to the first 25 people only, so send your request to email@example.com and I will mail you a free calendar.
This month has been dedicated to finishing the TV stand that I discussed last month. I was able to complete it by Christmas after all. The pictures and notes have been posted.
Since I spent December working on the TV stand, I was not able to work on other projects. However, with the start of a New Year, I will begin planning my new schedule. An item on my list is an Adirondack chair, which I am determined to build this year. I will probably be building a few more tables, and maybe even another chair or two. Between these things, I will try to squeeze in some small projects, like more storage boxes and such.
Keep watching this newsletter for updates on all of the new projects for 2008.
This month's new project was the TV stand, as mentioned above.
Be sure to check our web site for pictures of all the items built to date.
I need to decide on my next round of projects and schedules shortly. I expect to make some outdoor items, such as an Adirondack chair and maybe some planters. As for indoor items, a few tables and chairs are on the potential list. Beyond that, I will see what is ahead for 2008.
If you have any additional product recommendations, send your suggestions to
firstname.lastname@example.org. Hopefully, I can build some of these dream items in 2008.
As always, we like to thank you for reading my newsletter. If you have any suggestions on items you would like to see added to the newsletter, please let me know at email@example.com.
Until next month, stay well and enjoy.
